I signed up for gym membership because my husband was also signing up.
We decided to try and get fit this year together.
I really liked that the gym had a steam room. I also like all of the membership discounts that we would be entitled to. For example: we get much bigger discount at the grocery store than other people do. This is also true for the local fitness store. So I decided to go ahead and sign up with my husband. I figured I could just sit in the steam room or splash around in the pool a little bit while he worked out a few times a week. Honestly, I wasn’t very interested in working out much myself. I was thin enough without all of that. What I didn’t expect was how much I would fall in love with this gym. I signed up for a Zumba class on a whim and I loved it. Then I took a pole dancing class. That’s progressed to me lifting weights and joining stationary bike races. Honestly, I think I use the steam room once or twice in the beginning. I do use that membership discount all of the time though. Especially at the health food stores and in buying workout clothes. My husband, on the other hand, hardly ever goes to the gym anymore. He claims he’s too busy but I think he’s honestly getting intimidated by my progress. I put on 40 lb since we started working out and it’s all muscle. I’m pretty proud of myself, I’m looking fine. Joining this gym was the best thing my husband ever suggested. I just wish he was having as much fun with it as I am.
